Took time out for an hour to surf the web and look what else I found. A totally different topic but is also of interest to me as I am sure to many others. I have a close relative of the family who has an autistic child so it touches my heart. This is a story about Carly – watch this video about her story which explains it better than I ever can.
and then watch (must) of course if you are interested, and you should be, with so many autistic children being born all over the world, to experience what the world looks and sounds like to them. On the last video I couldn’t bear the loud sounds it hurt my ears, I had to cheat and turn the volume down. Couldn’t take it.
I think it is wonderful that an autistic child who can’t speak is now able to type with one finger to communicate her thoughts and feelings with the world and her mind does not seem to suffer any setbacks like her physical body does or brain! That should be educational to the medical experts who really speaking had no clue!
Carly has two face books and I think a blog as well and she is writing a book! How about that.
The movie is an authentic Saudi Arabian, written and directed by a Saudi Arabian female, Haifaa al Mansour. It gives us a little peek into women’s lives in Saudi Arabia. I repeat only a little peek. If you are intrigued about this closed society where women are treated as second class citizens, who have to cover up in black, their faces hidden in public with no freedom rights, whose sole purpose is to please and do men’s bidding, then you’ll want to watch this. The dialogue is in Arabic but with English subtitles.
Its wonderful to see the spirit of this little girl, her motivation, determination, vision, desire, and I only wonder how long will it take to break her spirit! When she gets married off to an older man before she’s fifteen and then perhaps later even more, when he gets his second or third or fourth wife legally? They (I think you know who I mean by they) enjoy all the modern technology plus some because they can afford it but they have not yet evolved enough to understand that it is the male who determines the gender of the child and not the female, that woman is just as important as man in the scheme of life, that freedom is a universal law, that men who are evolved are able control their sex desires and do not have to attack a woman just because they see her face! (sorry I had to I just had to let it out)
And how dismal to see all those women walking around in black! ‘God’ which is Arabic for ‘Allah’ has nothing but abundance in the universe, just note all the colours of nature!
Do you see the bitterness, anger and despair in some of the teachers’ faces as they impose the impossible rules of their society on the younger girls?
More interesting even is to read about the director and how the movie was made

By the way I want to say thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart, to all who are following my blog, for all the encouraging comments, and those who share my blogs with their followers. I do enjoy reading all your comments so here’s an official thank you, and a huge warm hug to one and all.
May nothing but love and peace reign on earth! May there be an end to this chaos, madness and ignorance! If only intelligence were contagious, we would have heaven on earth!
Femmes de la rue, par Sofie Peters-
Young woman with hidden camera on the streets of Brussels.
This short video is really disturbing, for me anyway! I am at a loss for words. It’s about a young woman who moved to Brussels and her experience of day to day subjected to harassment and insults by men when she is walking innocently attending to her own business. As women usually do, she blames herself at first, ‘perhaps I’m too provocative’ ‘perhaps it’s the way I’m dressed’ she thinks, but no, she discovered that only she but all young women who walk alone on the street are subjected to the same primitive behaviour by fellow men in Brussels! We’re not in Saudi Arabia here nor in Egypt or Oman or Baghdad, but in Brussels in the heart of Europe, so tell me someone what is going on here. And why do Europeans stand for this? So this young woman walked with a hidden camera to video her experiences. It is shocking. The video is in French, so those who understand French will understand the ‘names’ she’s being called as men pass her by, and the looks she gets from men, you can see clearly, no language barrier here. I am from the Middle East myself and I ran away to escape this half a century ago. Now it’s arrived on the streets of Europe. And if nothing is done about this it’ll probably get much worse. Are there no men around with brains and intelligence left in this world or is the old saying proving to be true even in 2014 – ‘that men have their brains in their penis!’ and ‘women are here only to satisfy their sexual pleasures’ I can’t believe I am writing this here on my blog but I am so upset at this. And one can see clearly also on this video its Moslem men mostly who are attacking this girl. I’ve had my fill of being politically correct and this has nothing to do with being prejudiced, it has to do with facts. Fact is also that many western men share the same disrespect for women. As I understand as of September such insults from men are going to be fined in Brussels. And about time too I say. Bad behaviour is just not acceptable no matter who from. Human rights is for everyone and not only for one part of the population! Perhaps when these people who have no respect for women and others are fined or punished enough then they will think again. To make things worse I just heard about the two girls who were gang raped and hung somewhere in India! Are men ever going to evolve to be intelligent human beings? Are they ever going to evolved to learn to control their sexuality? Or is it their God given right that they can flaunt themselves whenever they feel aroused and force themselves on whomever they happen to fancy? Again I can’t believe that I’m actually writing this but something inside me is just boiling. I recall only too well when I was seventeen walking on al Rashid Street in the centre of what once was modern cosmopolitan Baghdad, happy with myself and the world, and a young man passing me by pinched my breast! I was in shock! It happened so fast he was long gone before I realised what had happened and my whole world came crashing down on me. There were people all around us, I was to ashamed to react in any way except to freeze! In that one second I was so mad so insulted I could have killed! OK, now it’s out! I’ve kept this to myself for half a century! I have never mentioned this to anyone ever before and this video just brought it all up again – this feeling of rage – at being abused for no reason at all other than being a pretty girl. I wrote a book about my two decades born and raised in Baghdad in the 40s and 50s. Once Upon a Time in Baghdad. I did not include this little secret in my book. Why? Because I’d forgotten it, or so I thought until I saw this video and suddenly wanted to throw up as it all came back to me. It just seems like some things never change. Somehow I think women have to take some of the blame because after all, men are raised by mothers, my question is – what are the mothers teaching their boys? I strongly believe it is up to us women, each one of us, to make the necessary changes in this world and to educate the boys who will soon be men.
Here’s the video
I LOVE this time of our world history, this age, this moment that we are living right NOW! I’ve been waiting for this for 74 years since the day I was born! And I’m so happy that I am still around to enjoy to share and to celebrate the awakening of the critical mass, as Arianna puts it. Women! Men! Young Executives! Listen to this inspiring talk that dismantles all former beliefs of what success is all about! Finally people have woken up to the fact that success does not mean how much money you have in the bank, what designer clothes you’re wearing or what expensive car you’re driving. Her talk is like balsam to my soul. It reminds me of 20 years back when I went through great lengths to prepare a presentation to talk to MBA business graduates in a well known university in Lausanne titled ‘The Inside Out Approach’! I was invited to give this talk by some board members who were visionaries obviously, but one day before the date, I was informed that sadly no one had registered for this luncheon when my presentation was supposed to be given. They were just not interested in this spiritual new age hoky poky stuff of inward thinking! They just did not want to know! I was so discouraged that I decided that very day to turn my back on the business world and go my way to be a spiritual teacher to individuals who were open minded and ready to discover a more healthy and rewarding path to success the ‘Inside Out Approach’ to life!
NOW it’s time for me to do jumping jacks with grace, gratitude, joy, compassion and love.
I can’t resist posting this video. For all the mothers, grandmothers, nurses and maybe even fathers or male nurses who take care of babies, this is a must see on how to give a new born baby a bath! This nurse obviously loves her babies and her work. What a spiritual experience for the babies. It’s beautiful. Watch and learn. Click the link below.
